Unlined, lightweight, stretchy, slightly see through. For reference, the dress is photographed on a modern size 2 dressform. All is not lost though – give it a quick steam and it will look like new.

Elegant mid-century little black dress with a fitted bodice, straight skirt, elbow-length sleeves, high bateau-style front neckline, and low square back. The attached wide sash / scarf-like detail drapes over the front skirt and finishes with black fringe.

Has some staining but they were wiping out with oxy and a baby wipe. Missing 1 pearl button on the sleeve. Too pretty to toss needs some TLC A good launder might do the trick.

Fabric is a soft acetate-nylon jersey knit — smooth and comfortable like a tee, with gentle stretch and effortless drape. Finished with a smooth back zip closure. Dramatic wing sleeves flow like a cape with closed undersides, creating a sculptural silhouette that moves beautifully.

This is new with tags, size large. It is buttery soft. It’s a great 60s vibe with the colors and geometric stripes. It could be a beach cover-up or a very lightweight dress on its own.

Measurements (laid flat) Waist: 11.5″ (23″ doubled) Pit to pit: 14″ (28″ doubled) Length: 38.5″ (shoulder hem to bottom hem) No stretch at all to this fabric, so definitely check measurements before buying. Definitely a synthetic fabric, but I’m not sure which. Based on the construction, I believe this dress was handmade. My best guess on age is c. 1950s or 60s, judging from the silhouette. Size small. Length is 55″ from shoulder to hem, pit to pit (laying flat) 16.5″ and under chest is 15″. Short flutter sleeves. Flowing bottom. Pull over. Amazing condition for it’s age. There was a small slice on the top right shoulder approx.
