It keeps us dry with a waterproof Pertex membrane, DWR-treated face fabric, and fully sealed seams. It also keeps us from overheating with high levels of breathability and the added ventilation in the shell’s front, back, and sides. Finally, the jacket packs down easily into its chest pocket, which converts into a convenient carrying pouch we can stuff neatly into our backpack when the sun comes out. Bought new but never wore it. It’s still in excellent condition. The Pertex fabric is phenomenal and moves well while wearing. It’s doesn’t have the stiff rain jacket feel.
